Crafting with Dragonflies # 35: Gift Card Holder

Hi all, it is Crafting with Dragonflies time again.
With Christmas looming in the distance this couldn't come at a better time. Get those giftcard holders ready and be prepared, make some in Christmas papers and some in other styles and colours. These are great for Birthdays, Christmas, Easter, or just because.
Things have changed over the years, and a lot of people prefer gift cards nowadays, so they can get what they want....makes life easy....
Our sponsor is Bugaboo and they are always so generous with their winning gift.

Now over to our wonderful Dragonflies, here are their samples and how gorgeous are they? Well done girls as usual.....xxxxxooo

Susan created this beautiful clutch with a belli band, gorgeous colours

How very elegant and how good does the image look shrunk down like that, very clever Wynn

Tracey . This is beautiful work and the bag look is so sweet

Sammy said she got the template from LOTV and the tag image on the front is from Bugaboo
The selection of papers are really nice...

CG created this really gorgeous gift card holder and I like the fence idea

There you have it, what wonderful examples the girls have provided. Due to health issues and now a funeral ( my Mother inlaw passed away on Tuesday) I just was not able to provide a sample...I am sure things will improve eventually, at the moment it just feels all rather overwhelming...

DT Card for the Unstampabelles : September challenge: Be funny/twist of frame it

Hi all, during the month of September over at the Unstampabelles, we have a great challenge .
We are asking you to create something funny and with an optional twist of framing it...
How cool it that..? So hopefully I have met that brief. I found this on the internet and it appealed to my weird sense of humour...I just used a spellbinders die for the frame and a MS borderpunch for the iron fence on the side and the flowers are from my stash all on a black square base card..
Make sure you check out the main blog and get inspired to create you own funny card...

It could be a new technique and or a new item you have purchased....just remember to add a die cut or some embossing to your creation to qualify.
Here I have used a die cut piano and the die cut music notes...Now I don't have these dies but I did purchase these pre cut from ebay to try them out, and am now hooked, and must have them...has that ever happenend to you...???Mmmm?
Oh well, just when I have decided to start to tone it down some with die cuts and stuff...please....
The second card has a gorgeous new butterfly die and the leaves from MFT and the style is a little different to my normal cards, the embossed background paper were also purchased off ebay....love ebay...
Now it;s your turn...

PS: I have had some more bad news re my health and am getting through it one day at time...
That's all anyone can do...so if you see me posting less and less that is why...Hopefully only for a season...God willing...still have too  much to live for...

DT Card for Die Cut Divas : September - New things

Hi everyone, well didn't August just came and went...my goodness. So welcome to the Die Cut Divas September challenge which is
Something new
Step outside your comfort zone, try a new technique, or even a new fold, who knows you might like it! Did you go shopping and buy something "new" to play with? or maybe you want to try a new color combo.

Remember you must at least use one die cut or embossing folder and while we're at it remember all cards/projects must be "new" and dated after the first of September.

This Month Our generous sponsor is Bugaboo, and we are excited to once again inspire you with their variety of cute and funny images.

For this card I have tried to stretch myself a little, this layout is totally new to me, and I am not sure what I was trying to achieve, lol, eclectic Vintage maybe....the embossing folder is new as well.. I bought the crown ribbon slide from ebay, and the ribbon is from a gift I received a while back, and the the vintage images are from the graphics fairy blog...hope you like it, blessings Hilde
